Church On The Shelter
A few years ago, God gave us the vision to purchase property where there was no church. We wrestled with the idea quite a while until it got to the point where we knew we would be guilty of disobedience if we didn't purchase the property. This unique property has a basement facility already built, because during the days of the cold war this property would have been used as a bomb shelter.
About five years have passed since the original purchase, and God's leading is becoming quite clear. Property prices have increased 6 to 10 times what they were when this property was purchased and have become very difficult to afford. The longer I live, the more I come to realize that it is important to obey your Father, even when what He asks doesn't make sense to you at the time.
We will be updating you on the ministry aspects of the Church on the Shelter in our ministry blog and in e-mails. I have tried to include a lot of information in the captions below the pictures. However, if you are praying or planning to give financially to the project, please feel free to write and ask questions. Any donations should be sent to WorldVenture, 1501 W. Mineral Ave., Littleton, CO 80120 and should be directed to: “Ukraine: Operation Donetsk-New Churches#6433-904”.

The third picture was taken in February of 2010 and shows the progress in the construction that has taken place during the last “construction” season. We hope to continue work in May of 2010 and have the building ready for a church planter to move into by the end of the summer. The top floor to be used as an apartment by the church planter and the bottom floor to be used for office and meeting space. (The Sanctuary is part of phase two which is to be built by the church as it grows).
